Understanding Life Through Algebra
After applying some simple algebra to some commonly known
and widely accepted theorems a new understanding can be reached of the
secret to wealth and success. Here it goes.
Theorem 1: Knowledge is Power.
Theorem 2: Time is Money.
Theorem 3: Power
is Work over Time (ask any engineer).
Substituting algebraic equations, we get:
K = P (1)
T = M (2)
P = W/T (3)
Now, do a few simple substitutions. Using equation (3)
on equation (1), we achieve:
K = W/T (4)
Replacing T by M (by use of equation (2)) in equation
(4) yields:
K = W/M (5)
Expanding back into English, we get:
Theorem 4: Knowledge equals Work over
Money.
From this we can conclude for a fixed amount of Work:
1. The more Money You make, the less
You Know. The less You Know, the more Money You make.
2. The less Money You make, the more
You Know. The more You Know, the less Money You make.
Working out the socioeconomic implications of this breakthrough
is left as an exercise for the reader.
